Lucca 2007
I never had seen so
many people coming at Rose & Poison
booth to play... and more, I've seen many family
playing...it's so good to see families playing
together... it's so unusual for italy...
I met one of my favourite musicians: Nobuo Uematsu,
he's really great! (you can see me with him in the
picture)
I spent the days with great people like Roberto
Grassi (take a look at Levity, his game, it'
great!), Gilbert Gallo, Filippo Gasperi, Pè (sorry
friend but I prefer to call you like this, it's
more fun) Cristan Pellegrini and Sergio
Giovannini, discussing about good games, good food
and good music (don't forget Pé's suggestion about
Richard Cheese).

No Essen...
It's not that I won't
have my dinner... it's just that I will not be in
Essen...
so bad... so very bad.. so sad... so really sad...
it's just that I've got some problem to solve at home
and I can't move away from Sanremo...
let's wait for Lucca...
Erin Go Bragh
Finally I visited
Ireland. It has been my dream destination for years
and finally I did it
Ireland is a wonderful country, good people,
wonderful places, rain sun mist wind and more rain
and more sun every day... an everchanging sky... that
confuse your feelings in a new sensation... WOW!!!
and what a salmon! I think I prefer Irish salmon to
scottish salmon...
and beers beers beers and more beers!
"I've been a wild rover for many a year and I spent
all my money on whiskey and beer"
but it's really worth it! oh yes, it worth it...
I love Smithwick's... why can't we have Smithwick's
in Italy? I mean eveywhere in Italy...
and People! Irish people are wonderful!
and Music! music! music!
" musha ring dumma do damma da
whack for the daddy 'ol
whack for the daddy 'ol
there's whiskey in the jar!"
ok, to tell the truth I'm still not properly sober...

Back from Nürnberg
WOW ! ! !
Dragons Exists!*LOL*
as usual the Spielwarenmesse has been something
incredible... all the meetings, all the contacts, all
the beers and the sausages! I shared a room with my
friend Walt Castagno (keep an eye on the games by
this guy) and we spent every dinner with Sergio
Giovannini, the other guy from R&P, and some with
my friends from NEXUS (Roberto,
Francesco and Marco) and with friends from Stupor
Mundi staff (Giovanni, Massimo and Pino).
The best news from the fair are the following:
there's an important german publisher interested in
Delenda Carthago; a company asked me to send the
prototype of a card game I never mentioned here and
they're really interested in it; I resubmitted a game
to an american company that was intersted, but due to
an email problem never received the prototype before;
someone with big experience is taking care again of
"The Lords and the land" (as I modified it).
My company (Rose & Poison)
shared the booth with Scribabs, the company of
my friend Paolo Vallerga that was showing
Hystericoach (a party game for real fun by Walter
Obert), and it has been real fun working beside
Paolo.
One of the best things of the fair has been the
chance to spend some of my time with Niek Neuwahl,
who I consider a real master for his unique ability
of making really simple games. Every time I have the
chance to talk with him I learn something. (Thanks
Niek!)
At the SAZ party,
saturday night, I had the chance to meet and talk
with a wonderful person that for me is a colleague
under 2 differen sides: Stefan Risthaus, lawyer and
Game Designer (Ostia).
Last, but not least, I spent the first part of my
flight back (Nürnberg-Zürich) with Hicham of the
french publisher Matagot with whom I
spoke of italian and french market situation and on
the chances to start a cohoperation between R&P
and Matagot.
Delenda Carthago!
After months of playtesting,
my new card game "Delenda Carthago" will be released
on the first days of March by Rose &
Poison.
In "Delenda Carthago" you have to bet on the winner
of the Third Punic War, playing Roman and
Carthaginians soldiers on both cities.
